Applications Engineer
Job Role and description
Dyco is seeking highly motivated individuals for our Applications Engineer role in Bloomsburg, PA. Individuals will be responsible for using existing and developing new technologies and designs to meet specific requirements for the project scope. Assignments are broad in scope and highly complex requiring outstanding creativity, superior initiative and judgment. Individual must have excellent time management and prioritization skills as individual will be working on multiple projects at any given time. This is a hands-on position with potential to travel to industrial facilities up to 25% of the time. Candidates should be self-driven to meet or exceed goals to drive personal growth. Responsibilities:
  • Develop customer relationships with Sales team.
  • Work with Sales Team to provide technical guidance and scope definition for new business opportunities.
  • Host interdepartmental meetings with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Installation teams to further refine scope and develop concepts to a desirable solution.
  • Develop proposed system design using 2-D drawing CAD software.
  • Develop BOM lists and installation plans in order to generate pricing for the system.
  • Develop and write technical quotation.
  • Provide guidance to management and Sales team on quotation format, pricing strategy, and how to present to the customer.
  • Manage multiple projects based on time sensitivity and available team workload capacity.
  • Participate in conference calls to support Sales team on contents of the quotation and how it fulfills customer’s requirements.
  • Enter order pricing, material and labor information into Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) software for production use throughout company.
  • Communicate details of system design to Equipment Design Engineers.
  • Monitor and support progress of project throughout design, manufacturing, assembly, installation, and continued service.
  • Thoroughly document all aspects of each individual project.
  • Continually analyze and improve QMS processes, procedures, flow charts, and forms.
  • Drive New Product Development (NPD) and existing product improvement opportunities as needed to remain a leader in the market place.
  • Perform real world product testing to validate proposed concepts.
Requirements:
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, including technical writing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in team in a fast paced dynamic and fluid environment
  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow and enhance current Quality Management System processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge in VBA desired.
  • Ability to travel (10%) nationally and internationally.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments while maintaining proper safety protocols.

Technical Salesman
Job Role and description
Dyco is seeking a Technical Salesman to join our National Sales team headquartered in Bloomsburg PA. The individual will promote the company’s technical products and interact with new and existing customers. This is a salary based, non-commission position with a bonus package. Technical sales experience in the packaging industry desired but not required. Individuals travel up to 50% of the time to national and North America locations within their territories. Applicants will be expected to become an expert in the packaging field. Candidates should be self-driven to meet or exceed goals to drive personal growth. Dyco is a customer focused company and applicant must have an attitude to do whatever it takes to meet customer deadlines.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop new and cultivate existing customer relationships.
  • Gather scope information via phone calls, web conferences, and/or site visits as required.

Description:
The field service technician is responsible for providing service and customer support during field visits or dispatches, managing all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks, and diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions. This position requires you to travel throughout country and stay overnight.
