Management Trainee

Dyco is seeking a recent college graduate to take part in our management trainee position. This person will work with the production, engineering, sales, and service managers to organize, plan, analyze, and improve each department.  The ideal candidate will have excellent time management and prioritization skills as this individual will be managing multiple projects at any given time.  This candidate should be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where every day presents a new challenge. The ideal candidate for this position should have a desire to lead their own department in the future. This position is located out of our headquarters in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Department Manager in day to day responsibilities
  • Oversee new product development projects
  • Supervise product improvement projects
  • Track sales of each machine, system or component
  • Review daily timecards for accuracy and reconcile with MRP labor tickets
  • Review daily hours on projects and jobs for accuracy
  • Compare estimates vs. actuals to identify current or potential variances
  • Receive, organize and distribute paperwork associated with work orders
  • Optimize flow of materials and parts through each work center
  • Conduct audits of work centers, material/part carts, work order paperwork and labor tickets
  • Update and maintain procedures for each work center
  • Investigate, document and implement solutions to issues stemming from jobs, tasks or procedures
  • Identify potential inefficiencies or improvement opportunities and propose potential solutions
  • Conduct cost analysis on each job both during and after job is complete
  • Organize and lead special project assignments, ensure progress is made and give status updates
  • Attend/organize department meetings
  • Analyze and improve QMS processes, procedures, flow charts, and forms
