Senior Accountant with HR Responsibilities

Job Role and Description

Dyco is seeking a talented and ambitious Senior Accountant to perform our accounting and HR functions. This position will report directly to the Finance & Admin Manager.  Candidates should be knowledgeable and self-driven with a strong desire to handle day to day accounting & HR tasks. Honesty, ethics, and dependability are all important qualifications. We are a growing company that has been in business for 40+ plus years and are looking for someone to continue to grow with us.

 Responsibilities:

                       Accounting

  • Perform daily accounting duties, but not limited to daily cash receipts, journal entries, petty cash transactions, credit card requests/cancellation, inventory corrections in MRP system.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, Overhead Expenses per department, Supplemental AR, and other back up reports.
  • Maintain multistate Sales Tax Rate Changes and update the rates in MRP System.
  • Work with auditors during annual audit.
  • Prepare yearly budget spreadsheets which includes projecting depreciation and maintenance contracts expense and preparing a by employee calculation of wage and benefit cost.
  • Prepare spreadsheet showing new time off accruals for entire staff for following year – tying out the GL account on December financials and preparation of the monthly journal entry.
  • Fixed Assets Annual Review and tracking during year.

                      Human Resources

  • Employee Injury reporting to insurance and tracking of claim.
  • Handle requests for information from PA Unemployment, Child Support, and Medicaid.
  • Bi-Weekly Payroll
  • Benefit Bill approval and tie out of Life/Illness/Accident Voluntary Insurance deductions.
  • Vehicle Registrations, EZpass administration, accident reporting, submitting to insurance disposals/purchases of vehicles.
  • Annually work with Health Insurance providers and other benefit renewals (prepare census, discussions with staff, coordinate management meeting, any enrollment changes)
  • OSHA Reporting – prepare 300/300A for posting and do electronic reporting to OSHA from records maintained throughout the year.

  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
  • High level of initiative and drive
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Proficiency with Visual Manufacturing software preferred

Experience/Education:

 

  • 5 years minimum of overall accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or Finance required. Either a CPA or CMA Certification is preferred.
